Smart savings with Google Maps
I just boarded the KIA-6 bus from the airport to go to ITPL. It cost me \(₹ 350\) and he said that there are two stops. Hmm...
The conductor broke the fare for me. I will first go to the Hope Farm stop (\(₹330\)) and another ticket from there to ITPL (\(₹20\)). Since, I wasn't aware about the places and the split, I was skeptical about whether I am being scammed (lol). So, after I made the payment, received my ticket and had enough time in the bus to think about it, I quickly opened Google Maps to check the fare.
To my surprise, if you enable an option, Google Map not only shows you the route and the different busses that go in that direction, but also the cheapest tickets and from which bus-stop you can get it from.1

For people thinking that I am Kanjoos, remember that if you can pay less for the same item and yet paying a higher price, you may not be Kanjoos but if you label me that, I'd label you a fool! (Haha, no offense. Saving wherever we can is a good habit so we should try it wherever convenient and possible for us.) ↩
