Hey! I’m Hursh and this is my corner of the internet (as long as GitHub allows me to use their pages for free).

I am a student at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Finishing my bachelors in Mathematics, I joined the MA Economics program in our institute in order to fill gaps in my knowledge.

I am pursuing to be an Actuary, for which I am writing exams from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)1.

Our University has a brass band, Rhythmic Energy. I was fortunate to be part of it as a student for 4 years (2022-2026), by the blessings of our Founder Chancellor, Sri Sathya Sai Baba who I refer to as Swami.

I have a hobby of making websites and apps using frameworks like Next.js and SvelteKit. I have also started looking into mobile app development using Flutter. Will let you know if I build something nice.

  1. The CAS is the “world’s only actuarial organization focused exclusively on property and casualty risks”. In short, if you have decided to be a P&C Actuary, then CAS is the way to go. Personally, I felt (after writing their exams), that a lot of the exam questions could have been actual problems that could have come up as a small part during actual work.
