What kinds of actions are morally right.

  1. Egoism: That bring benefit to the performer
    • It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.” - Adam Smith
      • The baker makes cake.
      • Brewer makes wine.
      • Butcher provides meat.
  2. Altruism: Any action that benefits everyone except oneself, is morally right.
    • Political leaders are supposed to be.
    • Satya Sai Baba provided so much to mankind.
    • Raghav Chadha, tea and samosa in airports.
  3. Utilitarianism: Good maximum benefit of the maximum number of people.
    • If there are 5 people and they can be saved by killing one other person, then its ethically right.
    • A soldier going to the war and killing other people is ethically right.
