Difference between Written PY2023 and CY2023
This aggregation includes those policies that were written/unwritten1 during 2023. Try contrasting it with Written CY 2023, which will contain even those policies which might not have been written in 2023, but were cancelled during 2023 (CY).
Mid-term cancellations
It’s useful to think of midterm cancellations as unwriting insurance policies that lead to negative exposures. Which technically means that you are reducing your exposures.
